Build Teams That Last.
The Imposter Syndrome is real. Getting rid of it is not random and it is not a secret. The Six Pivots lays out proven steps that you and your leaders can use to beat back the imposter and lead with confidence.
Leave It Better
For thirty-three years, I stood on a football sideline — twenty-seven of them as a head coach.
Six year-one turnarounds. Six state championships. Fifteen of my assistants became head coaches themselves. I wasn't building football teams. I was building leaders.
Today, through Tim Cokely Encounter, I bring that same framework to executives, organizations, and teams facing the gap between the role they hold and the preparation they had for it.
The Imposter’s Voice
The hardest pivot in leadership is not strategic. It is personal.
Every leader knows the voice. The one that whispers — usually quietly, sometimes loudly:
You don't belong here.
You got lucky.
The real verdict is still coming.
The leaders who build teams that last aren't the ones who silence the voice. They're the ones who learn to act anyway.

The Six Pivots
How Leaders Build Teams That Last When the Imposter's Voice Won't Quit
A field manual with stories. Not a motivational book. Not a memoir. A six-pivot framework — Effort, Discipline, Perseverance, Relationships, Adversity, and Purpose — built across thirty-three years of building teams.

About
Meet Tim Cokely
Tim Cokely spent thirty-three years in football — twenty-seven of them as a head coach across six programs. He led six year-one turnarounds, won six state championships, and developed fifteen assistant coaches into head coaches of their own.
Since 2023, through Tim Cokely Encounter, he has carried that work into a new arena — speaking, leadership workshops, and executive coaching for leaders facing the same gap he spent three decades closing on the sideline.
His message is the one he learned from his parents and confirmed across thirty-three years of building teams:
Give an honest day's work for an honest day's wage.
And leave it better than you found it.
He lives in Tallahassee, Florida, with his wife, Amy. They have five children, all college graduates.
The Six Pivots is his first book.
